Ever Eatin It? : Fat Cat Creamery

This past week I celebrated my birthday with my sister, nephew and niece by grabbing lunch and dessert in the Heights. For dessert we visited Revival Market to indulge in maybe the best ice cream I have ever tasted! Fat Cat Creamery handcrafts small batch ice cream with whole and local ingredients. All of their ice cream is made with whole milk, heavy cream, sugar, egg yolks, and natural flavorings and they support local farmers. I ordered the Blackberries and Cream which had a magnificent purple color and tasted like the freshest blackberry cheesecake. Luke ordered the Cat's Meow Mexican Vanilla which was equally delicious. Their Strawberry Buttermilk still stands as my favorite flavor. It literally tastes as if someones grandmother freshly picked strawberries, milked a cow, and whipped up a batch of the most delicious ice cream ever created the day before. It is heavenly. Good news Houstonians, Fat Cat Creamery is getting a brick and mortar soon at 1901 Shepherd!
