I have to get every last bit of baking with plums in before fall and winter are here. I sure am going to miss stone fruit! I decided to make mini plum tarts for my weekly gathering and fellowship with friends. I bought 2 1/2 pounds of plums, sliced them, soaked them in cinnamon, sugar, and cornstarch, and then doubled this dough recipe. I used a 4 inch biscuit cutter, added a few slices of plums, folded in the edges, brushed with heavy cream and sprinkled with sugar on the raw, and popped them in the oven for about 40-50 minutes at 375. They turned out buttery, flaky, and delicious. Treats are more fun when they are bite size. I will take these over cookies any day! These are great topped with ice cream too. Goodbye plums, you will be missed!
